Updates and Posts for ExploringWithBruce.com and Social Media

Hi Everyone, When I departed on my journey (both the traveling part and the change of lifestyle part), I was not sure what to expect.  I knew I would be exposed to a lot of new people, places, cultural nuances and things.  What I did not know was what my days would look like, and the amounts of time I would have to personally reflect, sort things out, write and sometimes post about my experiences.

The first two weeks of my travels is mostly curated by the non-profit A Fresh Chapter, and it has been a very full schedule.  The exposure to the people, places and culture of Peru, and my spending time with my fellow A Fresh Chapter volunteer participants and the personal exploration curricula that is part of this program has been more impactful than I could have imagined.

In the few minutes of free time I have had, I’ve spent time with some of my new friends talking about our lives, what we are sharing together, and realizing how very different people can have so much in common.

The internet is a major issue here at the religious retreat where I am staying in Lima, and uploading a high quality picture, much less a video, is out of the question.   So until I land in a place where the internet speeds and consistence is more solid, I will only post very short updates and one or two low resolution pictures.   My intention is to write more informative posts and upload some nicer visuals when I have the opportunity later, so I can focus on the experience of the trip now.

For those who are sending me messages on social media, thanks!  I am touched by the messages of support and the excitement to know about my travels and experiences.  I will interact as time permits and when internet speeds allow.

Thanks and Love, Bruce
